At the heart of Wine and Dine Catering is chef Kathy Moore, who brings a wealth of experience through a lifelong love of cooking, traveling, wine service, and culinary education.
Kathy approaches cooking as a joyful act of service, creating a welcoming, collaborative environment from beginning to end with bespoke, creative dining experiences.
Raised in a household where both parents worked, Kathy often prepared family dinners, typically simple casseroles. Once grown, she adopted a vegetarian diet for 15 years and began experimenting with dietary substitutes and new techniques.
Alongside her passion for cooking, Kathy has a background in domestic violence advocacy and nonprofit executive leadership, where she developed strong organizational skills, worked with diverse groups, and excelled in event planning. Throughout that time, cooking was a creative outlet for Kathy—one which nurtured the body and spirit while bringing people together around her kitchen table.
Following the advice to “Do what you love,” Kathy shifted her focus to food and wine, inspired by her extensive travels and curiosity for global cuisines. She constantly pushes the boundaries of innovation, crafting unique, cohesive menus.
Kathy has gained experience at Willamette Valley wineries, including Domaine Drouhin, Alloro Vineyards, Parallel Wine Bar, and now pours and pairs at Dominio IV in Carlton, Oregon.
Outside the kitchen, Kathy continues to feed her passions through gardening, scuba diving, Zydeco dancing, and spending time with her husband in their vibrant corner of Portland, Oregon.
